Your Community Theatre!
NCS is a multipurpose performing arts venue located in the downtown Nanaimo Arts District. Our mandate is to provide an affordable and positive venue for local and regional performers, cultural and art exhibits, and non-profit organizations.
Nanaimo Centre Stage is capable of accommodating a variety of events, making it an inclusive community space available to local arts, cultural, and not-for-profit organizations, as well as businesses. Music concerts, theatre performances, and conferences hosted on the main stage can accommodate between 100-200 people, while our downstairs rehearsal hall can accommodate between 50-80 people and is perfect for smaller presentations, and our upstairs lounge area and boardroom is well-suited for board meetings and smaller gatherings. The diverse nature of this venue attracts people of all ages and cultural backgrounds and is essential to the cultural vitality and spirit of downtown Nanaimo.
